Mobile Marketing is going to define an increasingly important demographic / market place. The growing use of the WEB as a medium radically changed Real Estate. It is my belief that MOBILE marketing will have a dramatic impact too - though probably not as significant. The challenge for many agents is how to get to grips with this new technology. We have a 3-part article in the SPS BLOG that looks at Mobile Real Estate Marketing We've also fully adopted mobile marketing within SPS, so that TEXT flyers, SMS messaging and mobile web sites are now all included in SPS with no extra costs to Agents.

Realtors have an overwhelming opportunity to invest their time and dollars in technology. In my marketing classes I strongly encourage agents to make investments specifically to solve business process problems. Start thinking about business processes and the large boulders (not pebbles) that lie in your way. Then, invest in solutions that will help you overcome those boulders. If you can identify the really big issues and invest in technology to solve those problems then you will make wise investments. Such an approach will help you avoid frittering away your hard earned cash on meaningless bells and whistles. Too few large companies and agents actually take the time to consider their business processes - which is why we see many investing with a repeated shotgun approach, rather than informed, precise and laser focused decision making. For example, if you have problems capturing leads - then focus on that, or maybe its a problem incubating the leads you capture - so look at that. Paul Eastwood http://www.SinglePropertySites.com

I think there's something about large, quality images that is appealing to potential buyers. When we see photos that are clear and obvious (i.e. not panoramic and fish-eye) then it's easier to comprehend the item in question. As a buyer, I want to know about what I am buying - especially when I am doing research. Video is certainly cool - but I wonder if we subconsciously treat video as 'advertisements' and therefore trust them less than still images. Paul Eastwood http://www.SinglePropertySites.com
