"Many Americans loathe immigration" A slight adjustment: many Americans loathe illegal immigration. Many Americans understand that at one time we, or members of our family were all immigrants...with the exception of course, of Native Americans.

I have heard that the First Magnus managers are putting together a new company. Oh wait, there it is up there in Matt's story. Why can't these fees follow the managers and executives who gave the green light for these violations? Why would anyone want to do business with a company whose executives owe outstanding fees to HUD from a prior bankrupt company? Why are these managers allowed to sell loans to Fannie and Freddie at their new firm> And as to the recipients...The "we didn't know...." defense is laughable. Realtors, stop taking the payola. If you think what's being offered to you is "respa compliant," hire your own attorney and obtain a written legal opinion.

"The elimination of DPA will crush our housing recovery!" Oh please. Downpayment assistance programs are nothing more than fraud. They should die and never return. The default rate on these loan programs is attrocious. DPA programs have the ability to bankrupt FHA.
