I would have searched for a company that offered training. I started in a small office with 4 agents and unfortunatly I didn't realize what I was missing. About 3 months later my broker and business partner committed suicide leaving me without a clue on how to run a real estate business.

Get education faster and more of it. I would have joined KW first instead of later. Write a business plan, get a loan and go. Then I would stick to a strict time managment schedule of lead generation, lead follow-up and getting more listings. Then find the most talented people to work for you, systematize everything and then leverage your time and talents.
